Here we have a rare jar of Mary King Emblem Sachet perfume powder with the original powder still remaining. Produced by the J.R Watkins Company in the USA.

 

This dates back to 1930's and is beautifully art deco, featuring a bakelite lid.

 

It is more than 3/4 full.

 

Condition: The bottle features the original labels, with signs of wear and tear. There are no chips or cracks present. The jar is solid glass.

 

Measurements: The jar measures 8.8cm or 3.4'' in height (including lid.)

The jar measures 3.7cm or 1.4'' in width. 

 

Fun Fact: A story in the Amarillo Globe Times on Nov. 27, 1939, stated that the Watkins Company was the largest vanilla producer in the world. In addition, it was the largest pepper importer, and the largest fly spray producer in the world. In all, there were 162 factories and branches in the United States.
